Questions about drone photos
How much does drone photography cost in Sarasota?
Aerial photos on their own are $95 for 10, and thirty seconds of drone video is $145. Added to a photos-only order or to Basic, each aerial is $10. Pro and Plus include 10 each. The price stays the same whatever the size of the house or the lot.
What does an aerial shoot cover?
The house from above and at an angle, the lot and its lines, the pool and the lanai from overhead, and whatever the buyer is really paying for: the water, the beach, the golf course, the downtown skyline. On a waterfront listing we fly out over the water and look back at the house, so the view and the home are in one frame.
Leave anything you want to be sure of in the order notes: a dock, a new roof, a corner of the lot. The aerials are delivered with the rest of the listing photos, within 24 hours.
Are you licensed to fly a drone for real estate?
Yes. Commercial drone work in the US needs an FAA Part 107 certificate. We’re FAA Part 107 certified and carry $1 million in liability insurance.
Can you shoot a vacant lot?
Yes. The Lot Listing Package is $125 for a mix of up to 15 photos from the ground and the drone. Put the corners or the view you want shown in the order notes.
Who is the storm aerial for?
Homeowners and insurance adjusters who need a clear record of a roof and the property after a storm. It’s $95 and doesn’t need a listing. We can usually fly two to three days after a storm, once the roads are safe and clear of flooding. On request, you also get an unedited set of the roof photos for the claim.
What if it’s windy or raining on the day?
The drone doesn’t fly in rain or strong wind, so we move the whole shoot, photos and aerials, to the next clear day. A fee applies only to late changes.
Can you fly near the airport?
Most of Sarasota and Manatee is open to fly. Close to Sarasota Bradenton International, we request FAA airspace approval through LAANC, which is usually instant, so the flight goes ahead on the day you booked.
